About DFS

DFS is the UK's leading retailer of upholstered furniture. They were founded over half a century ago with just a single store near Doncaster. Today, they have more than 3800 team members and over 120 retail stores in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain. They also have a comprehensive online channel and three upholstery factories and two wood mills based in the UK.

They design, manufacture, sell, deliver and install an extensive range of upholstered and other furniture products for their customers. Their product offering is complemented by the market-leading consumer financial options, best-in-class customer service, comprehensive after-sales service, a long-term guarantee and ongoing product support. They engage with their customers through their stores, live chat service, telephone call centres and websites to offer a convenient, multichannel customer experience.

In 2015 DFS successfully floated on the London Stock Exchange with DFS sharing its success with the employees who made it happen. The DFS partnership scheme paid out a total of over £2.5M to all eligible employees who joined before August 2013 and contributed to making DFS and the float successful. Since the float, DFS Group has welcomed Dwell, Sofa Workshop and Sofology on board. Each brand brings something special to the Group: personality, customer appeal, culture, people and strength.
